Market Recommendation: Falafel Burgers

I was introduced to the Sunshine Burger brand by a good friend of mine. She is a vegan and loves their products. Today's recommendation is for my favorite of their burger patties, the Falafel Burger. Made primarily out of chickpeas and split peas, these protein rich burgers are Gluten Free and Vegan. Sunshine Burgers offers 6 great varieties of these patties. My other favorite is the "Hemp-fest" breakfast patty, which is also Vegan. Check out their site to view all their varieties (see link below).

Oh did I mention these are Organic too! I just love these.

Twist Time

Well these are burger patties taste pretty good. I don't think these fall in the category of food that needs help making it taste better. You can't really go wrong with them.

But here is what I love do with them. I microwave the patty for 40 seconds and then crisp them up on a griddle for about a minute or two or until there is a slight brown grill color on each side. Toast a fresh ciabatta roll. Place the patty, a slice or two of tomatoes and few pieces of banana pepper. Since its a falafel patty it goes real well with hummus or if you can find Mint Chutney then that works amazingly well. In a couple of weeks I will post my recipe for it.
